Some materials to use for the installation of thermal insulation

Since the sources of energy are pretty limited, people are investing more towards building a house that is energy efficient. And, one of the most widely used methods of saving energy that has been acquired by a major part of the global population is Thermal Insulation. But, before consulting a company, just go through the below-mentioned points to get a clear idea of what material to choose.

Fibreglass

Being made of fine glass strands, fibreglass is considered to be an effective material for thermal insulation as it minimizes the rate of transfer of heat. The only disadvantage of using the material is that it can affect the eyes and lungs.

Polyethylene

This material is widely used for insulating buildings through high-density air bubbles. It can be used for insulation after performing some modification.

Polyurethane Foam

It is one of the most popular materials used for thermal insulation. The process includes the use of non-chlorofluorocarbon gas and due to being able to resist fire and prevent global warming; it is certainly the most effective one.

Mineral Wool

Various types of mineral wools are present in the market, such as slag wool, glass wool, rock wool, etc. Since its fire resistance power is pretty low, it wouldn’t be ideal to use it in hotter geographical areas. However, by adding some other materials, the power can be increased.

Cellulose

The eco-friendly nature and high fire-resistance strength make cellulose a near-perfect choice for thermal insulation.
